Bustopher Jones is not skin and bones Well, we call him Buster for short since "Bustopher Jones" is such a mouthful. Buster was dropped off to a local pet store by a good Samaritan who had seen the cat in his back yard for a few days. Not being in a position to bring him into his home due to allergies, Buster hitched a ride home with a fellow cat lover while his lost owner was searched for. We knew he just HAD to belong to someone since he had a collar, looked very well fed, and seemed to charm everyone he met:
In the whole of Silver Spring
the smartest of names is Fliers were put up and internet notices were placed for over a month, but no one seemed to know where Buster belonged. He definitely missed his people and grieved during his time isolated by himself in a separate room away from the other kitties in the house. Finally after a month, Buster was checked out by a vet, tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia, and had all of his shots updated. Since he was already neutered, he was set to find his "new" forever home! Buster does well with other non-aggressive kitties, but we're not so sure how he does with dogs. He loves to sleep on the pillows of his foster parents and will carry on a full conversation with his people whenever, wherever, on whatever topic fancies him. At about 5 years old and 16 pounds, Buster has seen more than any good housecat should have to, and prefers the luxuries of inside living. His needs are simple - good food, a warm bed, and a soft hand to pet him. No more street life for this guy! If you have the home for Buster, he would be delighted to talk to you about it!
