Neuro

Neuro is a very handsome dark-orange boy who lost his home when his owner died. Neighbors tried to help out, but eventually the cats ended up neglected, unvaccinated, and full of fleas and parasites. Family members stepped forward and took the cats, but they didn't have the resources to provide all the veterinary care that was needed, especially for Neuro, who had a badly damaged leg that needed to be removed. Wanting to do the best thing for Neuro, they gave him up for adoption.

Now Neuro is boarding at the vet hospital. He has been fully vetted and his leg has been amputated, so he can now get around much better. (These pictures were taken before the amputation.) Unfortunately, he is living in a cage, so he hasn't had much chance to practice his new 3-legged gait. But hopefully he will get adopted soon, and before you know it he will be zipping around his new house. Three-legged cats do just fine, and Neuro is much better off without a useless leg dragging him down.

Neuro is a very sweet young cat, about 1 year, who would probably fit in just about anywhere. He is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and negative for Feline Leukemia Virus and FIV. All he asks is a good home where he will get plenty of attention and playtime and cuddling. If you think you could help and would like to meet Neuro, please call Beltsville Veterinary Hospital at 301-937-3020 and ask to speak to Alana (leave a message if she isn't there).
