Baxter
Courtesy Posting - Not CARA | ||
Baxter had a home at one time, but his owners were moving or renovating or some such thing, and they boarded him at their vet hospital for many weeks while they got their house in order. So far so good,
but ... they never came back to get him. The hospital sent a bill and a certified letter and did everything they could to reunite the cat with his family, but the people never responded. They simply abandoned their cat, not knowing or apparently caring what was to become of him. Luckily Baxter found some kind-hearted people who were willing to board him for awhile, so he is okay for now. But he isn't happy living in a cage. He licks his hair off from boredom and frustration and he has gained weight from inactivity. If he could find a kind person to adopt him and take him home, he would be a very happy and grateful cat.Baxter is about 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, and negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia Virus. He needs to be on a urinary diet, but he's not picky and eats it willingly, as you can see from his ample girth. He is mostly white, with striking tabby markings and with a very unique banded tail. Baxter is a sweet and friendly cat, and he deserves a better life than this. If you would like to meet Baxter, please call Beltsville Veterinary Hospital at 301-937-3020 and ask for Alana. |
