Colony Cats Need Homes
Courtesy Posting - Not CARA

![]() These cats live in a feral colony in Lanham. Some of the neighbors object to their presence and they are now at risk of being trapped and killed by Animal Control. Friends of the Cats are hoping to relocate them, either to barn homes or as house pets. Despite living outdoors their whole lives, they are very people friendly. Several of them are completely tame, and others would become socialized quickly if they were given a chance. Friends of the Cats are willing to deliver them up to 3 hours from the Washington Metropolitan area, and will help with the adjustment period (loaner cages if necessary, food, beds, whatever would be helpful). The cats are fond of each other, so it would be nice if they could be placed in pairs or small groups, but that's not a requirement by any means. We just want them to find homes where they will be accepted for who they are.
If you are interested in helping out any of these cats, please contact Janet at JanetCatMom@yahoo.com. If you have any acquaintances who might be interested in a cat or two, please pass the word to them. The more people who know about the cats, the better our chances of saving their lives. Thank you! |
